A process for producing an dioxoquinazoline of following formula (II): (see fig. II) wherein R1 and R2; independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a lower alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxylcarbonyl group or a group represented by YNR3R4, wherein Y represents a direct bond, a lower alkylene group or a carbonyl group, and R3 and R4 independently represent a lower alkyl group or N, R3 and R4 may bond together to form a five- or six- member heterocycle which comprises reacting an anthranylamide of formula (I): (see fig. I) (I) wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above, and X represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, an aralkyl group or a group represented by ZCO2R5, wherein Z represents a lower alkylene group and R5 represents a lower alkyl group or an aralkyl group with a reaction product of a pyridine and phosgene.

Méthode pour préparer une dioxoquinazoline de formule (II) (voir fig. II), où R1 et R2, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, représentent un atome d'hydrogène, un atome d'halogène, un groupe nitro, alkyle inférieur, aralkyle, alcoxy, alcoxylcarbonyle, ou un groupe représenté par YNR3R4, où Y représente une liaison directe, un alkylène inférieur ou un carbonyle, R3 et R4 représentent indépendamment un alkyle inférieur ou N, R3 et R4 peuvent être liés ensemble pour former un hétérocycle à cinq ou six chaînons; la méthode consiste à faire réagir un anthranylamide de formule (I) (voir fig. I), où R1 et R2 sont definis comme ci-dessus, et où X représente un atome d'hydrogène, un alkyle inférieur, un aralkyle ou un groupe représenté par ZCO2R5, où Z est un alkylène et R5 un alkyle inférieur ou un aralkyle, avec un produit de réaction d'une pyridine et d'un phosgène.
