ENVIRONMENTALLY DEGRADABLE ETHYLENE POLYMER COMPOSITIONS BY MASTERBATCH MIXING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A two step process for producing a degradable polymer based composition which comprises a) dryblending a masterbatch of ethylene polymer, antioxidant and auto- oxidative susceptible additive with a masterbatch of such polymer, antioxidant and salt of at least one polyvalent metal having an atomic number of 21 to 30, 39 to 48 or 57 to 71 and then b) melt blending the dry blend.
