A process for fluoroalkanol production which can be industrially easily practiced with high selectivity. The process comprises continuously feeding CHR1R2OH, a free-radical initiator, and CF2=CFRf to react them at 105 to 135~C and continuously discharging the H-(CFRfCF2)n-CR1R2-OH yielded (wherein R1 and R2 each is hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl; Rf is fluorine or C1-4 polyfluoroalkyl; and n is an integer of 1 to 4).

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de fluoroalcanol qui peut facilement être mis en oeuvre au niveau industriel avec une haute sélectivité. Ce procédé consiste à alimenter continuellement CHR?1¿R?2¿OH, un initiateur de radicaux libres, et CF¿2?=CRF?f¿ pour les faire réagir à une température comprise entre 105 et 135 ·C et à décharger continuellement le H-(CFR?f¿CF¿2?)¿n?-CR?1¿R?2¿-OH obtenu (où R?1¿ et R?2¿ sont chacun hydrogène ou alkyle C¿1-3?, R?f¿ représente fluorine ou polyfluoroalkyle C¿1-4 ?et n est un nombre entier de 1 à 4).
