A process for producing high-molecular-weight compounds of phenolic or aromatic amine compounds by the action of a catalyst comprising an enzyme having a polyphenol oxidizing activity in the alkali region; applications of the compounds obtained by the above process to thickener, stabilizer, coagulant, emulsifier, dispersant, water retainer, antioxidant, adhesive, concrete admixture, dye, coating material, petroleum recovering agent, soil conditioner, a blow-applied seed bearing surface soil stabilizer, deodorant, smell eliminator, pesticide spreader, feed binder, bactericide, antimicrobial drug, viral infection inhibitor, bioadhesion preventive, biotic repellent, insecticide, cataplasma, ink base or wood treatment; and a method of waste water disposal, a method of deoxygenation and a method of treating wood, concrete or soil in which use is made of the above reaction.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé pour produire des composés de poids moléculaires élevés de composés d'amines phénoliques ou aromatiques, grâce à l'action d'un catalyseur comprenant une enzyme ayant une activité d'oxydation du polyphénol dans la région alcali; à des applications des composés obtenus par ce procédé dans la fabrication d'agents, tels que épaississants, stabilisants, coagulants, émulsifiants, dispersants, rétenteurs d'eau, antioxydants, adhésifs, mélanges de béton, colorants, matériaux de revêtement, agents de récupération du pétrole, conditionneurs de sols, stabilisateurs de sols de surface porte-graines appliqués par soufflage, déodorants, agents d'élimination des odeurs, diffuseurs de pesticides, liants alimentaires, bactéricides, médicaments antimicrobiens, inhibiteurs d'infections virales, agents de prévention de la bioadhésion, répulsifs biotiques, insecticides, cataplasmes, bases d'encres ou agents de traitement du bois; ainsi qu'à un procédé d'élimination des eaux usées, à un procédé de désoxygénation et à un procédé de traitement du bois, du béton ou du sol dans lequel est utilisé cette réaction.
