Procédé d'obtention de N-formyl-leucine de pureté élevée. L'invention concerne un procédé d'obtention de N-formyl-leucine par réaction de la leucine avec le formamide, caractérisé en ce que, une fois la réaction terminée, on fait précipiter la N-formyl-leucine, à une température d'environ 0° à 40°C, en mélangeant le milieu réactionnel avec de l'eau et un acide de façon à ce que le pH final du mélange soit d'environ 2 à 3. Le procédé permet d'obtenir la N-formyl-leucine avec une pureté au moins égale à 98%.
