The invention relates to a process for producing immobilized polysulphide silanes, characterized by the conversion of a halogenated alkyl silane (A), optionally in the presence of a further organic halogen compound (B), with a polysulphide (C) in the presence of water and an inorganic or organic carrier material, wherein the content of the carrier material in the (dried and water-insoluble) end product is 20 to 99.5 wt.%. The immobilized polysulphide silanes are used for producing rubber mixtures and vulcanisates, particularly for tyres, which have a low rolling resistance and an en- hanced thermal load capacity.
