ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for producing inorganic thin films which comprises dissolving or dispersing inorganic substances in an aqueous medium by the use of a micelle forming agent or a surfactant comprising a ferrocene derivative, and then electrolyzing the resulting micelle solution or dispersion to form a thin film of said inorganic substance on the electrode is disclosed. According to the process, inorganic thin film can be formed with a simple operation.
