A process for producing an L-amino acid at good efficiency through fermentation is provided. A DNA encoding aspartokinase III derived from bacteria of the genus Escherichia and having mutation by which feedback inhibition with L-lysine is released is introduced into cells to form transformant bacteria of the genus Escherichia, and these bacteria are incubated in an appropriate culture medium. An L-amino acid is produced and accumulated in the culture, and collected from this culture.
Méthode pour produire par fermentation un L-amino-acide avec un bon rendement. Un ADN codant l'aspartokinase III, dérivé de bactéries du genre Escherichia, et comportant une mutation entraînant la rétro-inhibition avec la L-lysine, est introduit dans des cellules pour créer des bactéries génétiquement transformées du genre Escherichia; ces bactéries sont incubées dans un milieu de culture approprié. Un L-amino-acide est produit et s'accumule dans le milieu de culture, d'où il est recueilli.
