- 30 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE L-threonine and L-isoleucine are produced by constructing a recombinant DNA containing a gene coding for both enzymes of homoserine dehydrogenase and homoserine kinase responsible for the threonine biosynthesis in a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium, incorporating the recombinant DNA in a microorganism belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Brevibacterium, culturing the microorganism in a medium, and recovering L-threonine or L- isoleucine accumulated in the culture broth.
