ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Malonic dinitrile is produced for the first time from its reaction gas which is formed by reaction of acetonitrile and cyanogen chloride, by partial condensation in decreasing tem- perature stages, i.e., while avoiding a contact with the simultaneously formed hydrogen chloride.
