Nanometer particles of poorly water-soluble or substantially water-insoluble compound are produced by finely-spray-ing a non-aqueous solution of said compound into a heated and fluidized bed of carrier excipient. The resulting product consists of a free flowing mixture of relatively large particles of carrier excipient and nanometer sized particles (less than 3 µm)) of compound.

On produit des particules d'échelle nanométrique d'un composé, faiblement hydrosoluble ou quasiment insoluble dans l'eau, par atomisation fine d'une solution non aqueuse dudit composé dans le lit fluidisé et chauffé d'un véhicule. Le produit résultant est un mélange à écoulement facile de particules relativement importantes du véhicule et de particules d'échelle nanométrique du composé (inférieures à 3 mu m).
