ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR PRODUCING NITRILOTRIACETONITRILE A process for producing nitrilotri- acetonitrile from an ammonia derivative, formalde- hyde, and hydrogen cyanide, in which hydrogen cyanide is scrubbed from a gas stream containing hydrogen cyanide with a solution containing nitrilotriacetonitrile mother liquor which is used directly in the nitrilotriacetonitrile pro- duction without the purification process normally used to produce hydrogen cyanide.
