In the conventional micropatch method, the skin is pricked with solid needles, and vibration is applied by means of a vibrator so as to increase the needle- skin interstice to thereby accomplish drug administration. In the invention, there are provided a pad base for transdermal drug administration whereby transdermal administration of a medicinal drug can be accomplished without need to apply vibration, and provided a process wherein the pad base can easily be produced. One end of each of metal thin wires is immersed in the vertical direction in a synthetic resin raw material solution so as to cause the synthetic resin raw material solution to adhere to the circumference of the metal thin wires. The synthetic resin raw material solution is hardened, and thereafter the metal thin wires are pulled out. Thus, there can be obtained a structure comprising adherent substrate (2) and, disposed erect on the skin side surface thereof, microneedles (1) being tubular and having bell- bottom outer wall. Medicinal drug charged in the hollow portion (3) of microneedles (1) can be injected in the skin, thereby effecting transdermal drug administration. Further, the microneedles (1) are resistant to breaking off because of the bell-bottom shaping.
Le procédé classique à base d'une microbande adhésive consiste à perforer la peau par des aiguilles pleines et à appliquer des vibrations au moyen d'un vibrateur, dans le but d'augmenter l'interstice entre l'aiguille et la peau afin d'effectuer l'administration d'un médicament. L'invention concerne une plaquette de base conçue pour administrer un médicament par voie transdermique et permettant d'effectuer cette administration sans appliquer de vibration et elle concerne également un procédé permettant de fabriquer sans difficultés cette plaquette de base. Ceci consiste à immerger dans le sens vertical une extrémité de chaque fil d'un ensemble de fil métallique mince dans une solution de matière première à base de résine synthétique, de façon à provoquer l'adhérence de cette solution à la circonférence des fils métalliques minces. La solution de résine synthétique est durcie et ensuite les fils métalliques minces sont retirés. Ceci permet d'obtenir une structure composée d'un substrat adhésif (2) et de microaiguilles (1) placées verticalement sur la surface côté peau de ce substrat et présentant une forme tubulaire et une paroi extérieure en forme de fond de cloche. On peut injecter le médicament chargé dans la partie creuse (3) des microaiguilles dans la peau, ce qui constitue une administration transdermique. De plus, les microaiguilles (1) sont résistantes à la rupture étant donné leur forme en fond de cloche.
