A process for producing potato tubers by water culture by which potato tubers free from lenticel thickening can be produced. This process is characterized by setting a partition through which the roots of potatoes can pass but the stolons thereof cannot pass over the level of a nutritive solution, and making the stolons grow on the upper surface of the partition with at least part of the roots immersed in the nutritive solution through the partition to thus produce potato tubers.

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire des tubercules de pomme de terre par culture hydroponique, lesquels tubercules ne comportent pas d'épaississements provoqués par des lenticelles. Ce procédé consiste à mettre en place une cloison qui laisse passer les racines des pommes de terre, mais qui empêche les stolons de ces dernières de dépasser du niveau de la solution nutritive. Les stolons vont se développer sur la surface supérieure de la cloison, tandis qu'une partie au moins des racines traversent la cloison et sont immergées dans la solution nutritive afin de produire les tubercules de pomme de terre.
