A process for producing prenyl alcohol characterized by comprising constructing a recombinant by transferring an expression recombinant DNA or a DNA fragment for genome integration, which contains hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA reductase gene, isepentenyl diphosphate .DELTA.-isomerase gene or farnesyl diphosphate synthase gene or a variant gene thereof together with a transcriptional promoter and a transcriptional terminator, into a host, culturing the resultant recombinant and then collecting prenyl alcohol from the culture medium thus obtained.
L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de prenyl alcool caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à construire un recombinant par transfert d'ADN ou d'un fragment d'ADN d'expression de recombinaison pour l'intégration génomique, contenant le gène hydroxyméthylglutaryl-CoA réductase, le gène isopentényl diphosphate .DELTA.-isomérase ou le gène farnésyl diphosphate synthase ou un variant de ceux-ci, avec un promoteur de transcription et un terminateur de transcription dans une cellule hôte, à cultiver le recombinant résultant, et à récupérer le prenyl alcool à partir du milieu de culture ainsi obtenu.
