ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A process for producing pure oversaturated solu- tion of magnesium sulphite from crude crystalline magne- sium sulphite, characterized by that, into a flow of sus- pension containing magnesium sulphite crystals at least one further water-containing flow is led. The temperature of the resulting flow is at least 60°C. Solid water- insoluble fraction is thus separated from the resulting flow.
