The invention provides a process for the production of a synthetic naphtha fuel suitable for use in compression ignition (CL) engines, the process including at least the steps of hydrotreating at least a fraction of a Fischer- Tropsch (FT) synthesis reaction product of CO and H 2 , or a derivative thereof, hydrocracking at yeast a fraction of the FT synthesis product or a derivative thereof, and fractionating the process products to obtain a desired synthetic naphtha fuel characteristic. The invention also provides a synthetic naphtha fuel made by the process as well as a fuel composition and a Cloud Point depressant for a diesel containing fuel composition, said fuel composition and said depressant including the synthetic naphtha of the invention.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de production d'un combustible de naphte synthétique pouvant être utilisé dans des moteurs à combustion par compression (CI). Le procédé consiste au moins à hydrotraiter au moins une fraction d'un produit de réaction de CO et de H2 obtenu par synthèse de Fischer-Tropsch (FT) ou d'un dérivé dudit produit, à procéder à l'hydrocraquage d'au moins une fraction du produit de la synthèse de FT ou d'un dérivé dudit produit, à fractionner les produits obtenus pour dégager une caractéristique de combustible de naphte synthétique. L'invention se rapporte en outre à un combustible de naphte synthétique obtenu par le procédé de l'invention, ainsi qu'une composition combustible et un déprimant de point de trouble destiné à une composition combustible à base de diesel, ladite composition combustible et ledit déprimant contenant le naphte synthétique de l'invention.
