The invention relates to a process for the production of tall oil from soap oil and to the use of heating in order to improve the production of tall oil. Soap oil, which has been produced by neutralization of tall oil soap, is acidulated by reacting the soap oil with an acid and freed tall oil is recovered. In the acidulation step, the temperature is raised above 100 °C, preferably over 105 °C, for improving the acidulation of soap oil. The acid is preferably concentrated sulfuric acid.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'huile de tall à partir d'une huile saponifiable et l'utilisation de chauffage afin d'améliorer la production d'huile de tall. L'huile saponifiable, qui a été produite par neutralisation du savon de l'huile de tall, est acidulée en faisant réagir l'huile saponifiable avec un acide et l'huile de tall libérée est récupérée. Dans l'étape d'acidulation, on augmente la température à une valeur supérieure à 100 °C, de préférence supérieure à 105 °C, de façon à améliorer l'acidulation de l'huile saponifiable. L'acide est de préférence l'acide sulfurique concentré.
