ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE For the production of thiosemicarbazide, hydrazine is reacted with hydrogen cyanide and sulphur to form hydra- zine thiocyanate, which is converted into the thiosemicarbazide by treatment at elevated temperature. The reaction is carried out with advantage in a polar solvent.
