Abstract The process for the production of a urea-formal- dehyde foamed plastic according to the present in- vention comprises preliminarily dispersing an aqueous solution of a urea-formaldehyde resin with a concentra- tion of more than 65% and a viscosity of up to 2,500 mPa.s at the temperature of 20°C by means of a compressed inert gas, whereafter the dispersed resin is introduced into a stream of a blowing foaming agent comprising an aqueous solution of a surfactant and an acid catalyst at the following ratio between the dispersed resin and the blowing curing agent: 1:(0.5-2.5) respectively, while as the surfactant use is made of salts of sulphonated alcohols of the general formula: MOSO3R, wherein: M is Na+, K+, NH4+, [(CH2CH2OH)3NH] +, R is a radical of alcohols of the aliphatic series with a number of carbon atoms of from 8 to 20, or triethanolamine salts of an alkylbenzenesulphonic acid.
