ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Thiadiazin-5-one compounds of the formula Image wherein R1 is alkyl and R2 is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or aryl are prepared by reacting a thiosemicarbazide and an alkyl alphahalothioacetate. Addition of a dialkylhalothiophosphate to the thiadiazin-5-one compounds produces use- ful thiadiazine insecticides.
