The invention relates to a process for producing chloric acid comprising the steps of introducing a metal chlorate solution and an acid into separate compartments of an electrodialysis cell, bringing protons from the acid and chlorate ions from the metal chlorate to form chloric acid in a compartment of said electrodialysis cell, and bringing metal ions from the metal chlorate to form a solution of a metal salt in another compartment of said electrodialysis cell. The invention also concerns a device useful for performing the process and a method of producing chlorine dioxide.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire de l'acide chlorique, consistant à introduire une solution de chlorate de métal et un acide dans des compartiments séparés d'une cellule d'électrodialyse, à extraire les protons de l'acide et les ions chlorate du chlorate de métal pour former de l'acide chlorique dans un compartiment de ladite cellule d'électrodialyse, et à extraire les ions métal du chlorate de métal pour former une solution d'un sel métallique dans un autre compartiment de ladite cellule d'électrodialyse. L'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant la mise en oeuvre du procédé, ainsi qu'une méthode de production de dioxyde de chlore.
