The invention relates to a process for production of an alkaline hydrogen peroxide solution and an acidified alkali metal salt solution containing chlorate in an electrochemical cell including an anode compartment (2) provided with an anode (3) and a cathode compartment (4) provided with an oxygen reducing cathode (5). In the cathode compartment an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide is formed, wherein the molar ratio MOH:H2O2 for the net production thereof is maintained from about 0.1:1 to about 2:1. Also a process for simultaneous production of chlorine dioxide is disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un procédé destiné à produire, dans une cellule électrochimique, une solution d'eau oxygénée alcaline et une solution d'un sel métallique alcalin acidifiée contenant du chlorate. La cellule électrochimique comprend un compartiment anodique (2) contenant une anode (3) et un compartiment cathodique (4) équipé d'une cathode (5) réduisant l'oxygène. Dans le compartiment cathodique sont formés de l'eau oxygénée et un hydroxyde aqueux de métal alcalin, le rapport molaire MOH:H2O2 pour la production nette de ces produits étant maintenu compris entre environ 0,1:1 et 2:1 environ. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé de production de dioxyde de chlore.
