A process for providing methylene-bridged polyphenyl polyamines from aniline and formaldehyde according to the invention comprises the subsequent steps of a) condensing aniline and formaldehyde, providing a condensate, the molar ratio of aniline to formaldehyde being chosen in the range of 2 to 3.5; b) reacting, in a first catalytic reaction step, at a reaction temperature within the range of about 30°C to about 100°C, said condensate over a solid catalyst being chosen from the group consisting of clays, silicates, silica-aluminas and ion exchange resins, whereby an intermediate mixture is provided, the intermediate mixture comprising amino benzyl amines; c) converting, in a subsequent catalytic reaction step, at a temperature within the range of about 70°C to about 250°C, the reaction temperature in said subsequent catalytic reaction step is higher than the reaction temperature in said first catalytic reaction step, said intermediate mixture into methylene- bridged polyphenyl polyamines in presence of a subsequent solid catalyst being chosen from the group consisting of zeolites, delaminated zeolites and ordered mesoporous materials, thereby providing said methylene-bridged polyphenyl polyamines.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fourniture de polyphényl-polyamines à pont méthylène à partir d'aniline et de formaldéhyde selon l'invention, qui comprend les étapes successives consistant à a) condenser l'aniline et le formaldéhyde, fournir un condensé, le rapport molaire de l'aniline au formaldéhyde étant choisi dans la plage de 2 à 3,5; b) faire réagir, dans une première étape de réaction catalytique, à une température de réaction dans la plage d'environ 30°C à environ 100°C, ledit condensé sur un catalyseur solide choisi dans le groupe constitué par les argiles, les silicates, les silice-alumines et les résines échangeuses d'ions, un mélange intermédiaire étant ainsi obtenu, le mélange intermédiaire comprenant des amino-benzyl-amines; c) convertir, au cours d'une étape de réaction catalytique subséquente, à une température dans la plage d'environ 70°C à environ 250°C, la température de réaction dans ladite étape de réaction catalytique subséquente étant supérieure à la température de réaction dans ladite première étape de réaction catalytique, ledit mélange intermédiaire en polyphényl polyamines à pont méthylène en présence d'un catalyseur solide subséquent choisi dans le groupe constitué par des zéolites, des zéolites délaminées et des matériaux mésoporeux ordonnés, ce qui donne lesdites polyphényl-polyamines à pont méthylène.
