Process for production of polymer powders containing vinylformamide units via free-radical polymerization of an aqueous solution of N-vinylformamide and, if appropriate, other monomers and drying of the polymers, where an aqueous monomer solution which comprises N-vinylformamide and comprises at least one polymerization initiator is converted into spray or droplets to give an aerosol at the top of a heatable tower reactor and then the aerosol or the droplets is/are polymerized in an inert gas atmosphere to give a fine-particle solid, and the fine-particle polymer is discharged from the reactor.
L~invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de poudres polymériques contenant des unités vinylformamide par polymérisation radicalaire d~une solution aqueuse de N-vinylformamide et éventuellement d~autres monomères et séchage des polymères. Une solution aqueuse de monomères, contenant du N-vinylformamide et au moins un amorceur de polymérisation, est pulvérisée ou atomisée en haut d~un réacteur chauffable en forme de tour pour former une pulvérisation. La pulvérisation ou les gouttelettes sont polymérisées pour former une matière solide finement pulvérisée et les polymères finement pulvérisés sont extraits du réacteur.
