PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF PULP Abstract of the Disclosure: An improved process for the production of pulp charac- terized by the employment of a novel type of cooking aid is disclosed. The cooking is carried out in the presence of a small amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxyanthracenes and derivatives thereof. The cooking yield is substantially increased and the quality of the resulting pulp and paper is improved. - 1 -
