ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The surfaces of stony materials, tiles, cement conglomerates and relevant manufactured articles are protected from atmospheric agents and pollutants by surface application of a protective material consisting of a mixture comprising a vinylidene fluoride polymer or copolymer containing 55-100% by moles of vinylidene fluoride, 0-45% by moles of hexafluoropropene and 0-30% by moles of tetrafluoroethylene and an aqueous microemulsion or emulsion of perfluoropolyethers. Such mixtures are applied by conventional methods onto the surface to be protected.
