ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to a process for protecting stony materials, marble, tiles and cement as well as articles manufactured from said materials from the decay caused by the atmospheric agents and pollutants. A mixture consisting of: polytetrafluoroethylene in the form of an aqueous dispersion, an emulsion or a microemulsion of perfluoropolyethers either having or not having functional groups at their ends, is applied onto the surface of said materials or articles.
