A use of a flocculating and sequestering agent as an agent facilitating the purification of an organic solution comprising fatty acid alkyl esters. Also provided is a process for purification of the organic solution, which process comprises adding a flocculating and sequestering agent to the organic solution so as to facilitate the purification, and removing a portion from the organic solution, which portion comprises the flocculating and sequestering agent, and impurities.

La présente invention a pour objet l'utilisation d'un agent floculant et séquestrant en tant qu'agent facilitant la purification d'une solution organique comprenant des esters alkyliques d'acides gras. La présente invention a également pour objet un procédé de purification de la solution organique, ledit procédé comprenant l'ajout d'un agent floculant et séquestrant à la solution organique de façon à faciliter la purification, et l~élimination d'une partie de la solution organique, ladite portion comprenant l'agent floculant et séquestrant, ainsi que des impuretés.
