ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Aromatic hydrocarbon impurities are removed from a liquid paraffin containing the same by contacting the liquid paraffin in the liquid phase at relatively low temperatures with an X-type zeolite molecular sieve material. The contacting is performed without recycle and purified liquid paraffin containing less than about 0.01% by weight aromatics is obtained.
