The invention relates to a method for producing very pure 1,2-dichloroethane in terms of chloral and/or chloral hydrate and carbon dioxide. The method comprises an oxychlorination of ethylene with hydrogen chloride and a gas containing oxygen and an alkaline treatment of the 1,2-dichloroethane that is produced. According to the invention, the carbon dioxide that is present in the organic phase containing 1,2-dichloroethane is substantially separated from said organic phase containing 1,2-dichloroethane before the alkaline treatment.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de 1,2-dichloroéthane très pur par rapport à chloral et/ou hydrate de chloral et dioxyde de carbone. Ledit procédé fait intervenir une oxychloration d'éthylène avec du gaz chlorhydrique et un gaz contenant de l'oxygène, ainsi qu'un traitement alcalin du 1,2-dichloroéthane produit. Selon l'invention, le dioxyde de carbone présent dans la phase organique contenant du 1,2-dichloroéthane est essentiellement séparé de ladite phase avant le traitement alcalin.
