ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The process of the invention is directed to an improvement in purifying cyanuric acid which contains as a contaminant, an enclosed residue of sulpholane used in the reaction medium to produce cyanuric acid from urea, biuret or mixtures thereof. The process comprises suspending the impure cyanuric acid in an aqueous medium and stirring. As a result of the process, cyanuric acid is substantially freed from enclosed residues of sulpholane.
