Le gaz naturel brut est désacidifié et déshydraté dans les unités DA et DH. Le gaz traité est ensuite purifié par adsorption des mercaptans dans la première enceinte A1. Une partie du gaz purifié est chauffée dans E1, puis est introduite dans la deuxième enceinte A2 de manière à évacuer l'eau adsorbée par le matériau adsorbant contenu dans cette deuxième enceinte. Un flux riche en vapeur d'eau est introduit dans la troisième enceinte A3 contenant un matériau adsorbant chargé en mercaptans. Dans A3, les mercaptans sont désorbés et remplacés par la vapeur d'eau.
