A description is given of a three-stage electrostatic separation process consisting of a rock salt separation stage (a), a potash/kieserite separation stage (b) and a secondary potash separation stage (c), wherein the residual fraction from the secondary potash separation (c) is returned to the potash/kieserite separation stage (b) and thus a substantial improvement in the overall separation result is achieved.
