A process is disclosed for recovering chips and fibres from residues of timber-derived materials, old pieces of furniture, production residues, waste and other timber-containing materials glued with urea-formaldehyde binders or other binders capable of being hydrolysed or chemically disintegrated by disintegrating the timber-derived materials at a high temperature. In a first step of the process, the residues of timber-derived materials are impregnated with an impregnating solution and previously swollen until they have absorbed at least 50 % of their own weight of impregnating solution. In a second step, the thus impregnated residues of timber-derived materials are heated up to 80 °C to 120°C. The thus disintegrated residues of timber-derived materials are then sorted by sieving and/or wind screening. The residues of timber-derived material have edges of at least 10 to 20 cm length. In an improvement of the invention, the residues of timber-derived materials are impregnated and heated at the same time.
Un procédé permet de récupérer des copeaux et des fibres par désagrégation à haute température de résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois, de vieux meubles, de résidus de production, de déchets et d'autres matériaux contenant des matériaux dérivés du bois collés avec des liants en urée-formaldéhyde ou avec d'autres liants hydrolysables ou susceptibles d'être chimiquement dissous. Pendant une première étape du procédé, on imprègne les résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois avec une solution d'imprégnation et on les gonfle au préalable jusqu'à ce qu'ils aient absorbé au moins 50 % de leur propre poids de solution d'imprégnation. Pendant une deuxième étape, les résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois ainsi imprégnés sont chauffés jusqu'à une température comprise entre 80 ~C et 120 ~C. Les résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois ainsi désagrégés sont ensuite triés par tamisage et/ou par criblage à l'air. Les résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois ont des arêtes d'au moins 10 à 20 cm de longueur. Selon un perfectionnement de l'invention, les résidus de matériaux dérivés du bois sont imprégnés et chauffés en même temps.
