ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a process for recovering meal and fat from an animal raw material, at which process the raw material is boiled and the solid constituents of the boiled material are removed from fat and stick-water by centrifugal separation and dried, characterized in removing the main part of the fat in the boiled material directly after the boiling step by means of a first centrifugal separator, then subject- ing the residue, being constituted by essentially solid mater- ial and stick-water, to a mixing operation, and removing solid material from the mixture so obtained by means of a second cen- trifugal separator.
