The invention concerns a process for reducing nitro groups to amino groups, characterized in that a nitro compound is reacted with hydrogen in the presence of an aqueous solution of a water-soluble metal catalyst of the general formula (I) M(L)n(Y)m, wherein the symbols and indices have the following meanings: M is ruthenium, rhodium, nickel or palladium; L, which may be identical or different, is a water-soluble ligand; Y, which may be identical or different, is a further ligand or an alkali or alkaline earth ion; n is 1, 2, 3 or 4; and m is 0, 1 or 2.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réduire des groupes nitro en groupes amino, qui se caractérise en ce qu'on fait réagir un composé nitro avec de l'hydrogène en présence d'une solution aqueuse d'un catalyseur métallique soluble dans l'eau de la formule générale (I) M(L)¿n?(Y)¿m? les symboles et les indices ayant les significations suivantes: M désigne ruthénium, rhodium, nickel ou palladium; les constituants L sont identiques ou différents et désignent un ligand soluble dans l'eau; les constituants Y sont identiques ou différents et désignent un autre ligand ou un ion alcalin ou alcalino-terreux; n vaut 1, 2, 3 ou 4; m vaut 0, 1 ou 2.
