ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for refining gold from a crude gold having a purity more than 90% by dissolving it in an aqua regia, adding a masking agent into the dissolving solution to seal metals other than gold, extracting a chloroauric acid from the solution with an organic solvent, washing the extracted solution with hydrochloric acid, and then stripping the gold as a gold hydroxide into an aqueous phase. A gold of high purity is obtained at a lower cost.
