ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is a process for regenerating a large-pore zeolitic catalyst that has been deactivated by the formation of Group VIII metal agglomer- ates on the catalyst surface. In the process, the Group VIII metal agglomerates are redispersed to produce agglomerates of small size. It comprises an oxychlorina- tion step, a nitrogen purge step and a reduction step.
