The present invention pertains to a process for regenerating a used additive- based catalyst comprising the step of regenerating the catalyst by contacting it with an oxygen-containing gas at a maximum temperature of 500 °C. Preferably, the maximum catalyst temperature during the regeneration step is 300-500 °C, more preferably 320-475 °C, even more preferably 350-425 °C. The regenerated additive-based catalyst obtained with the process according to the invention has a higher activity than an additive-based catalyst regenerated at a higher temperature. Additionally, its activity is also higher than that of a corresponding catalyst which never contained an additive.

L'invention concerne un procédé de régénération d'un catalyseur, à base d'additif, épuisé, ce procédé comprenant l'étape consistant à mettre en contact le catalyseur avec un gaz contenant de l'oxygène, à une température maximale de 500 DEG C. De préférence, la température maximale de cette étape de régénération se situe entre 300 et 500 DEG C, plus préférablement entre 320 et 475 DEG C, idéalement entre 350 et 425 DEG C. Le catalyseur, à base d'additif, régénéré, obtenu à l'aide du procédé de l'invention, possède une activité supérieure à celle d'un catalyseur correspondant régénéré à une température supérieure. En outre, l'activité du catalyseur régénéré selon l'invention est supérieure à celle d'un catalyseur correspondant n'ayant jamais contenu un additif.
