ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR REGENERATING SUNFLOWERS BY EMBRYOGENESIS The invention provides a process for regenerating sunflower cultivars from immature embryos and comprises three stages: - formation of embryogenic calluses and somatic embryos in a medium containing a hormone of the cytokinin type, - culturing the embryos in a medium of the same type, also containing a cytokinin-type hormone and - culturing the plantlets, if necessary, to induce root formation.
