The invention provides a process for removal of metal carbonyls from a synthesis gas stream comprising metal carbonyls, the process comprising the steps of: (a) adsorption of metal carbonyls by contacting the synthesis gas stream with solid adsorbent comprising activated carbon and/or hydrophobic zeolite to obtain solid adsorbent enriched in metal carbonyls and a synthesis gas stream depleted of metal carbonyls; (b) desorption of metal carbonyls by contacting the solid adsorbent enriched in metal carbonyls with CO-containing gas comprising at least 0.5 volume% CO to obtain regenerated adsorbent depleted of metal carbonyls and CO- containing gas enriched in metal carbonyls, wherein the temperature at which metal carbonyl desorption takes place is higher than the temperature at which metal carbonyl adsorption takes place.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'évacuer des carbonyles métalliques d'un flux de gaz de synthèse comprenant des carbonyles métalliques. Ledit procédé consiste : (a) à adsorber les carbonyles métalliques par contact du flux de gaz de synthèse avec un adsorbant comprenant du carbone activé et/ou du zéolite hydrophobe pour obtenir de l'adsorbant solide enrichi en carbonyles métalliques et un flux de gaz de synthèse diminué des carbonyles métalliques; (b) à désorber les carbonyles métalliques par contact de l'adsorbant solide enrichi en carbonyles métalliques avec un gaz contenant CO comprenant au moins 0,5% en volume de CO pour obtenir un adsorbant régénéré diminué des carbonyles métalliques et des gaz contenant CO enrichis en carbonyles métalliques, la température à laquelle la désorption du carbonyle métallique se produit est supérieure à celle à laquelle se produit l'adsorption du carbonyle métallique.
