Methods for deodorizing polyamines useful as laundry detergent adjuncts, especially as cotton soil release agents, are described. The methods involve contacting the polyamines with water at a temperature higher than the boiling point of water, contacting the polyamines with a non-condensable gas, and mixtures thereof.
