- 1 - HOE 89/F 020 Abstract of the disclosures Process for renaturing incorrect recombinants of insulin precursors "Incorrect" recombinants of insulin precursors are renatured in an aqueous medium using excess mercaptan in the presence of an organic redox system or at least one organic compound which forms such an organic redox system under the reaction conditions, that is to say converted into the "correct" recombinant in a single reaction step. The "correct" recombinants can be converted into the corresponding insulin enzymatically or chemically by known techniques.
