ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The assembly base consists at least partly of synthetic foam and is fitted in a recess in external insulation arranged on a structure. The recess extends into the surface of the structure and the assembly base is secured directly to the structure by an adhesive and/or mechanical securing means. The component is secured to the assembly base. It is thus possible in the simplest manner to secure a component to a structure fitted with external insulation without adversely affecting the properties of said external insulation.
