ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a process for the selection and separation, respectively, of substances contained in solid carrier, especially in formation, to be carried into liquid and gas phase, respectively, and having a higher perme- ability and dielectricity than the carrier, especially of petro- leum, sulfur and similar substances, characterized in that in the carrier an electromagnetic field of a frequency falling into the resonant band characterizing the substances to be selected and separated, respectively, is produced and the substances emerging with a difference in time from the carrier are segre- gated.
