ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mixture of two or more fluid molecular species is resolved into its component parts by a selective separation process whereby the mixture is contacted with a solid particulate monomeric cyclo- dextrin. On contact, at least one of the molecular species is selectively sorbed onto the cyclodextrin, and thereafter the species is desorbed from the cyclo- dextrin. In a preferred aspect, the species to be separated are organic compounds.
