The present invention relates to a process for separating molybdenum minerals and copper minerals by flotation using a depressant for copper sulfide, which comprises using one or more thiocarbamic esters of the formula I Image (I) in which R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical which is unsub- stituted or substituted by hydrophilic groups and has 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical which is substi- tuted by hydrophilic groups and has 1 to 6 carbon atoms or is a phenyl radical which is substituted by hydrophilic groups, as depressants.
