-9- Abstract of the Disclosure: A process for manufacturing a folded ribbon cable made of two groups of electrically insulated power and data conductors joined between themselves and between the two groups of conductors by flexible webs comprises providing a single foil shield or a composite tape made of a foil shield bonded to a plastic film, longitudinally folding a portion of the width of the single foil shield or composite tape around one of the groups of conductors, longitudinally folding the other group of conductors over the one group to form a core while simultaneously wrapping the remaining width of foil shield or composite tape around the core or around the other group of conductors, and providing a jacket over the core to form the folded ribbon cable.
