A process as described in DE 196 50 875 is disclosed for sorting mailings having different properties by using sorting machines which are not suitable for all properties of the mailings. The non-sortable mailings are provided with an identification number and their sensed distribution information is stored under this identity number. A sortable substitute for each non-sortable mailing is added to the stack of mailings to be sorted, each substitute being associated by means of an identity number to each of the non-sortable mailings. The sortable mailings and the substitutes are then sorted according to their corresponding distribution information. After sorting, the non- sortable mailings are brought into their appropriate sorting sequence depending on their identification numbers and the identification numbers on their corresponding substitutes.
L'invention concerne un procédé du type décrit dans DE 196 50 875 de triage d'objets expédiés ayant des propriétés diverses au moyen de trieuses qui ne peuvent pas traiter toutes les propriétés des objets expédiés. Selon l'invention, les objets expédiés qui ne peuvent pas être traités par les trieuses reçoivent un numéro d'identification (ID) et les informations saisies concernant leur distribution sont enregistrées sous ce numéro d'identification. Un objet de remplacement qui peut être traité par les trieuses est ajouté à la pile d'objets à trier à la place de chaque objet qui ne peut pas être traité. L'objet de remplacement est associé au moyen du numéro d'identification à un des objets qui ne peut pas être traité. On trie ensuite les objets qui peuvent être traités et les objets de remplacement en fonction des informations correspondantes concernant leur distribution. Après le triage, les objets qui ne peuvent pas être traités par les trieuses sont mis dans l'ordre de triage en fonction des numéros d'identification dont ces objets et leurs objets de remplacement correspondants sont pourvus.
